D Sculptor Upgrade

At D Vision Works we are constantly working
on a range of different 3-D technologies. Also we get feedback from
our customers and as a result D Sculptor is an evolving product. The
D Sculptor 1.02 upgrade is available free of charge to existing D
Sculptor 1.0 users (please e-mail us at Info@d-vw.com
mentioning the product key for your copy of D Sculptor).

Improvements in D Sculptor 1.02

Added support for Shockwave
3D. Please note that D Sculptor only exports .w3d files. You will
need Macromedia Director 8.5 or higher in order to be able to use
these .w3d files and generate Shockwave content. |

Improvements in D Sculptor 1.01
|
|

Support for the import and export of object masks as
grayscale bitmaps. This means that you can use your favourite Photoshop
/ Photopaint masking tools to make object masks for use in D Sculptor.
As long as the masks can be exported as a grayscale bitmap with the
background area in black and the object area in white. Conversely
it is also possible to export D Sculptor masks in the same format.

Masks are now stored internally in the .dsd project
file instead of in separate files. This means it is now possible to
have several .dsd files referring to the same photos in the same directory
with each file having different masks.

A 3-D studio export filter has been added
so D Sculptor 1.01 can now export in .3ds format.
|

The maximum voxel count has been increased to 500x500x500.
This makes it easier to capture fine detail with D Sculptor but please
note use of high voxel density settings may result in very long calculation
times on lower specification computers.

The maximum polygon count has been increased to 50000. |
